~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ena’s 4 ½ Star Thoughts~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Marines had made me a man but Grace had made me human. No matter what I told her in my letters, she accepted it and wrote me back something funny or sweet. She made me realize I could have more if Iwanted it. And I wanted more bad. –Undeclared by Jen Frederick
Swoon Worthy Read!!!!!!!! You all know that I am a sucker for any book that has ANYTHING to do with military because of my military life that Ilive. Navy brat and Army wife – I can’tget enough of them. I loved the storyline right off the bat because I know what it’s like to write letters to someone who is deployed and the love and promise that those words on the paper hold! This book met all my expectations that I was hoping for when I started it!
Grace Sullivan is your average college good girl. She fell in love with a boy during her high school days and as many first loves go he always held a piece of her heart that she never got back. Noah Jackson is your typical jarhead! Swoon worthy done to the bone. He is a gentleman, a fighter, a lover, a hero and he always thought he wasn’t good enough for the likes of Grace.
After being mute for 2 years he finally decides that he needs to make things right with Grace in hopes of winning her back and showing her the love that he felt! This is his biggest battle to day, nothing the Marines have thrown at him compares to the challenge he will have to go through to meet Grace for the first time and hopefully have her open her heart again to him.
I fell in love with Noah from the very beginning his biggest battle to day, nothing the Marines have thrown at him compares to the challenge he will have to go through to meet Grace for the first time and hopefully have her open her heart again to him.
I fell in love with Noah from the very beginning (yes I know, I fall in love with all the male leads – this is true, I am NOT going to deny it – I have A LOT of book boyfriends and well Noah made the list as well)
He is strong, determined, passionate, sexy as sin, a true gentleman, a fighter, a little rough around the edges, and isn’t scared to admit when he screws up (yes for most men that is hard for them to admit). I wanted so badly to reach my hands through my kindle and rub him down from head to toe.
“I am going to make you feel so good the first time we make love that you’ll want to jump my bones every second afterward and if you don’t rememberit, my plan will fail.”
The story progresses at a great pace. Not too slow, not too fast, just PERFECT! I a perfect long distance romance that was built over 4 years of letter writing! Jen wrote such a beautiful and well thought out story that I didn’t want to story to end; I wanted her to continue with their journey just so I could read more. We all have read many love stories but this love story I will remember always because it shows just how much simple letters back and forth can make 2 people get to know each other and fall in love despite never meeting.
It shows that even though you may not see yourself for who you truly are that through someone else’s eyes you are the most beautiful person out there.
I know that your greatest fear is that you aren’t good enough. But you are. You are the best kind of person, Noah. The best kind of friend, the best kind of supporter, the best kind of lover.– Undeclared by Jen Frederick
