Mae Turney grew up a military “brat”, always on the move, never having a settled home long enough to build lasting relationships and friendships. Once she graduates nursing school and her parents move to another base in Germany,  she decides to move away from all of the hustle and bustle of a big town and set her roots in a small, homey feeling little town, hoping to start a new life and build new, lasting relationships. Little did she know that the new apartment she was going to be renting on the side of a gorgeous lake front house, not only held her new home but also her heart.

Seth Fin is a single dad to 3 children after losing his wife to cancer. He thought he buried his heart with his wife and swore he could never find a love like that again…..until he meets Mae. He tried to fight his feelings in the beginning, feeling as if he was somehow betraying what he had with his late wife, but in the end you just can’t fight what’s meant to be. Add his precious children to the equation and Mae stood no chance but to fall in love with the entire Finn family….not that she wanted to J

This is such a beautifully written, quick moving, wastes-no-time, love story. It’s not such an emotional rollercoaster as most romantic books are these days, but that’s ok. It’s like a breath of fresh air not to feel up and down and sideways all throughout the book. Now, don’t get me wrong….there are some out of control emotions and a few intense moments (one in particular moment that you want to reach through your Kindle or book and slap Seth Finn) but the majority of the book is just a smooth flowing, makes you feel good, happy-go-lucky journey through the lives of 2 adults that are missing their other half, as well as 3 children who are missing a mother in their lives….. until they all find each other.

This is the first book in a set of three about 3 deliciously sweet and sexy men from a little town in Vermont. I can’t wait to read the next 2 books in this series.
