The Perfect Game by J. Sterling

From Goodreads:

He’s a game she never intended to play. And she’s the game changer he never knew he needed.
The Perfect Game tells the story of college juniors, Cassie Andrews & Jack Carter. When Cassie meets rising baseball hopeful Jack, she is determined to steer clear of him and his typical cocky attitude. But Jack has other things on his mind… like getting Cassie to give him the time of day.
They’re both damaged, filled with mistrust and guarded before they find one another (and themselves) in this emotional journey about love and forgiveness. Strap yourselves for a ride that will not only break your heart, but put it back together.
Sometimes life gets ugly before it gets beautiful…
This is a MATURE YOUNG ADULT/NEW ADULT novel Suitable for ages 17+  Contains strong language, sexual situations and references

I gave this 4 1/2 STARS!

What can we say other than Jack Carter is moving up the fictional boyfriend ladder very fast. I really enjoyed this book, at first I thought that maybe it was going to be a little cliche, oh was I ever wrong. J. Sterling threw so many curve balls at us in this story. This story had me on my toes always waiting for her to spice it up. The quarters are one of my favorite parts of the book. I have also never hated a fictional character more than I hated Chrystle, she just sparked this anger inside me. I loved how both characters Jack and Cassie were both messed up(it’s kinds my thing). I love Jacks grandparents for treating Cassie like she was part of the family. Dean, Jacks little brother just seems like an amazing brother who treated Cassie like his own sister. Any man who would move across the country to try and win the love of their life back deserves some serious points. Also the way he apologized with more quarters and eye rolling information, made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy. I am going to re-read this book again, that is how much I enjoyed it. I know whoever buys this book will not be disappointed. There is no way humanly possible for somebody not to fall in love with this book. JACK FREAKING CARTER!!!!!!!!!!!! If you still haven’t gotten enough of your Jack Carter fix, you should head on over to J. Sterlings website sometimes you will get a pop in by Jack Carter himself. He likes to post comments in her blog.
