The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessice Sorensen

callie and kayden

From Goodreads:

There are those who don’t get luck handed to them on a shiny platter, who end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, who don’t get saved.

Luck was not on Callie’s side the day of her twelfth birthday when everything was stolen from her. After it’s all over, she locks up her feelings and vows never to tell anyone what happened. Six years later her painful past consumes her life and most days it’s a struggle just to breathe.

For as long as Kayden can remember, suffering in silence was the only way to survive life.  As long as he did what he was told, everything was okay. One night, after making a terrible mistake, it seems like his life might be over. Luck was on his side, though, when Callie coincidentally is in the right place at the right time and saves him.

Now he can’t stop thinking about the girl he saw at school, but never really knew. When he ends up at the same college as Callie, he does everything he can to try to get to know her. But Callie is reserved and closed off. The more he tries to be part of her life, the more he realizes Callie might need to be saved.

*****5 Incredible Star Read*****

This might be a really long review, maybe the longest I have ever written. Because I like to be short and sweet, and get to the point. The things this book did to me are remarkable. I have NEVER, EVER related to a book on so many levels as I have this book. I absolutely love this book, and it will hold a special place in my heart forever. You are introduced to the two main characters Callie and Kayden. They are all sorts of messed up, so right off the bat I knew that this is going to be awesome. I never knew though how much you could make some one messed up. Callie who is so incredible and strong, yet she has no clue. She feels like she is nothing. I have never been so proud of a girl character. Then you get it all in a male character by the name of Kayden. He is just as messed up as Callie but truly, I think a little more. First off you have a male with his pride and his own emotions and they just take it to a whole new level. Kayden is my Hero!!!!! I seriously cried a lot, it is very sad people could even think that they are that horrible of a person. That’s exactly what these characters did. I cried, I really think I stopped breathing at one point, Smiled, laughed and just felt pure joy when these two finally break down some walls. I NEVER and I say NEVER put quotes in my blog, or in my Facebook status, but I think this one is really something special “In the existence of our lives, there is a single coincidence that brings us together and for a moment, our hearts beat as one.” My god, that is so powerful, I just don’t know how else to express that this was the most amazing book for me this year. Jessica Sorensen is such and amazing writer, I am new to her books, and this is the second one I have read from her, and my God I need more. She really knows how to get you sucked in and get under your skin and make you feel like this is real. That is why  love her. I was just on her blog page and I did read that the second book in the Coincidence Series is coming out, With an ending like that one I am seriously on my toes and waiting for the second to come out. I really don’t know how I am going to wait that long, and it really isn’t that far away. Feb. 28, 2013. I know!!!!! So if you have not read this book yet go and read it. It will touch your heart and mark it forever!!!!!!!!!
