Synopsis

A fallen boxer.
A woman with a broken dream.
A competition…

He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…

Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.

He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong–but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents . . .

But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me.

I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations.

If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?

You ready for this ride????????

Okay so I loved loved loved this book and Katy did such an amazing job bringing us a damaged bad boy fighter who you just can’t help but fall in love with. I wanted to wrap him in my arms and love him. Although he doesn’t know how to verbally express himself he is such a deep and passionate person and has so many wonderful things to offer this world and Brooke does see that. He isn’t an easy man to be with but the rewards are so worth it. Remington made my blood boil and my toes curl with yearning. His dominance and alpha male persona had me saying…

“I want you to know me first, and then, I want you to let me know if you still want me to take you.”

Oh the mother of all things sexual tension this book defiantly has that. I was getting edgy waiting for Remy to take Brooke like she has willingly offered herself up to him over and over again. He showed such patience when it came to connecting with her on that level and I admired him for that. He wanted Brooke more than anything but she needed to know his deepest darkest secrets, his demons and make the decision if that was a path she still wanted to take. Personally if it was me I would have embarrassed myself and pushed myself on him a long time ago. It would have gone a little something like this…

There was connection between Remy and Brooke that neither of them could deny and it was so strong and beautiful. There are ugly things they have to face and dark times they need to get through but their strength and dedication to them was enjoying to read. Katy gave us times that were….

Katy also showed us the raw, ugly moment that they have to battle through. The dark times where they need to unite strong or they will never make it on the other side. The ugliness that surrounds them needs to pull them together and make them stronger. Few words were spoken, tempers were raised, and glass was shattered and it left me….

I was all over the map with this read because Remington has so many sides to him and when you look closely enough they are all beautiful. Brooke is such a strong and beautiful character. She is a fighter who fights for what she wants and she wants Remington, all of him, all his layers and she is willing to work through anything and hold on tight to him in order to keep him. Their connection is beyond words and it is beautiful.

What happens when someone closest to you is in trouble and you have to do something to help them even if that means betraying the one person you never thought you would betray? What happens at the end of the day when everything is laid out on the table and lies and betrayals surface? Is Brooke strong enough or will her love for Remington be enough to know she should walk away and let them heal? Will Remington crack and do the one thing he was mostly afraid of the entire time Brooke was with him – hurting her?

“When I get you in bed, I’m going to scrub you raw with my fucking tongue until there’s nothing anywhere on your from him. Only me. Only me.”

If you want a story of a fighter who holds so many demons that he doesn’t realize that he deserves to be loved – read Real. You need to read if you are looking for a story with such a deep and powerful connection between two people that is Real.
