When Killian MacGregor, the hottest quarterback in the NFL, eyes the perfect pair of female legs, he spends an hour tracking the gorgeous woman in a room filled with rowdy teammates until one gets out of line.
Rebecca Cavanaugh, a long distance runner for the state team, intimidates boys and men with her quick wit and majestic height. The pre-season jock party isn’t her scene, but she’s roped into attending to provide her sister a sober ride home.
Hiding in the kitchen to avoid the athletic sex fest, a drunken thug forces Rebecca to her knees, and waves a giant ding-dong in her face. Before Rebecca can extricate herself from the hairy situation, an unknown champion saves the night. When Killian assists Rebecca off the floor, she’s stunned into silence while staring at the sexiest man alive.
Will Killian’s bad boy rep and Rebecca’s need for commitment, make this the most impossible “Play” of the season? Or, will Killian’s haunting past and need for victory destroy the most important game of his life?
“Play” is intended for readers 18+. Enjoy with caution… this book contains adult situations, erotic sex, and more balls than a girl knows what to do with.
Holly Roberts brings us Play, a fun sexy and steamy read about football God, Killian MacGregor, who never settles down, well because that is just NOT his thing. He is a playboy, a no strings attached kind of guy that likes to get lost in the warmth of a woman’s body but lives for the game of football and doesn’t do love, at all.
Rebecca Cavanaugh, long distance runner, at the state college coasts through life without worrying about what others are saying or doing. Always the old one out growing up she has a select few friends that she sticks with and will always try and blend in with the crowd and not stand out. Always receiving a broken heart from past relationships because of her need to move too quickly she has sworn of men afraid of falling too fast and getting hurt again in the end.
Little do Killian and Rebecca know their worlds are about to be thrown together and explosions will take place.
Will Killian stick to his wham bam thank ya ma’am ways and break Rebecca’s already fragile heart? Can Rebecca put a wall around her heart and look at Killian as only a good time without giving her heart away? Or will the 2 finally find what neither were really looking for in the first place?
Oh Holly you never seize to amaze me. I loved Play from beginning to end. It was very different from all your other books – fun, feisty, frisky, flirty, FAN FUCKING TASTICLY sexy, sweet and steamy! Killian MacGregor is definitely sex on a stick with the dominate side that I love so much. When I first read the synopsis I know I had to have this book. I was practically doing this….
Holly Roberts gave me a little bit of this in the beginning just to get my juices flowing and making me fall madly in love with Killian and Rebecca….
But you know being sweet and sensual only lasts so long when it comes to a dominate man so it was quickly moved to let’s just fuck please!!! Which we all love (secretly)
But now Holly knows how to give us some curve balls and there were times when I really wanted to chock the flip slap out of MacGregor to the point where I was like….
A one point my heart was breaking for Rebecca because of her past and insecurities and really did she ever really stand a chance against Killian and not giving her heart away? What happens if he ends up breaking it? I was cheering her on when she decided enough was enough and decided to let her hair down and have a little fun doing this….
Killian doesn’t do love and Rebecca is all about finding her soul mate and having a family. Can they really fit into each other’s worlds? Him as a NFL Football player Casanova traveling the country and having more beautiful woman surrounding him than he knows what do with, and Rebecca as a college student trying to blend in and get by until graduation?
You need to read Play and find out….Get to know Killian who is mouthwatering and I have no doubt that you will fall in love with Rebecca – such a beautiful character. I was doing this the entire read….
What a wonderful job Holly with Play. At the very end it was like me standing up and shouting “ 5 STAR TOUCH DOWN!”
