Appearances are not always reality…

That’s what twenty-year old Tori discovers when she moves in with her best friend, Liv for the summer. Liv’s older brother Brady is everything Tori knows is wrong for her, yet he invokes emotions deep in her soul that she’s never felt with anyone else. When the two eventually succumb to their feelings, Tori realizes  Brady is not the same confident guy she’s secretly loved for years. Tori desperately wants Brady to confide in her, but he refuses to talk about the secrets that have drastically changed his life.

Turning to the one person that always makes her laugh, she begins spending time with the younger brother, Tug. The two grow closer and Tori wonders if her feelings for Tug run deeper than the “just buddies” status they’ve always shared. As she begins to explore her feelings, the conflict between brothers, she’d hoped to avoid erupts. She has to choose.

When Brady finally reveals his secrets, Tori makes her decision; one that may leave them all Irreparably Broken.

Sometimes when we all read, we get an idea in our heads automatically of what a book is going to be like. And trust me we all do it. Well Irreparably Broken by K J Bell completely shattered my expectations. I am not going to lie, I thought of it as another love story, she falls in love with someone she shouldn’t, they push each other away and then they finally get together. Well it is a love story, but with the twist and turns that Bell has put in this book, I could not put it down.

Tori (Victoria) Preston, thought her world was over when she caught her boyfriend of 3 years in a very compromising position. Set up by her best friend’s brother Brady to see, she not only loses her boyfriend but she loses Brady as well. What hurts the most is really not losing her cheating boyfriend, but the thought of being without Brady in her life, because Tori has been in love with him for so long. Although she never told Brady how she feels.  Now, with her parents moving to Minnesota, Tori stays and moves in with her best friend Liv and her family. Little does she know Brady is coming back home, but with some shocking surprises that Tori doesn’t know about.

Brady Hunter, we think is your typical bad boy, ends up being one of the sweetest people you will meet and shows Tori on a trip to Tijuana, Mexico, that he is not the person she always thought he was. Brady has a soft side and a big heart. But Brady also has been in love with Tori for the longest time, but with secrets of his haunting past, Brady feels he doesn’t deserve Tori. But will Brady reveal his secrets to Tori so they can finally be together or will he keep everything bundled inside and watch her move on with someone else, maybe even see her move on with his little brother Tug.

Now I don’t want to get into giving spoilers, but I will say that this is a book to read. Between love triangles, haunting secrets, and trying to find you way to true love, you will not be disappointed.
