He Belongs to Me is a love story . . . a tale of betrayal and deception and of a young mother’s determination to recover what belongs to her.
Forced to leave her baby and tricked into relinquishing her parental rights, four years later Catherine Boyd is back and she’ll do anything to regain custody of her son–even reconcile with the husband falsely accused of killing their son’s twin.
All in the name of love for a little boy, generations of pain and tragedy are exposed in a courtroom drama.
~~Nicole’s 4 Star Thoughts~~
Catherine Boyd : willing to do anything to to get her son back. She is a strong woman but the confidence grows with each turn of the page. Her love unyielding and her strength had me in aw
Thomas Boyd: just wanting to get through the day and forget the past you see his wall crumble and his true vulnerability shows. The growth and strength of this character was honestly like no other character I’ve read.
Wrongly accused of a horrible crime, Thomas Boyd has buried himself in his career, determined to forget his painful past and the family he lost. But now, five years later, Catherine is back, requesting his help to regain custody of their son — custody he thought she had.
Not often a story like this one comes along if your seen the movie war of the roses then you know what I’m talking about. This is one of the most realistic books I’ve read. It makes you smile it made you cry and I also found myself saying we’ve all been there. That place you in your life that everything that can go wrong does go wrong well in a nut shell that’s this story. Here you meet Catherine graduating from college trying to make her parents proud as well as trying to regain custody of her son.
“Legally, your mother and I are Andrews guardians. We decide what’s best for him. And we agree that your situation here is sufficient evidence of your immaturity” Eric Whitmore ~ He Belongs to me
This is where she needs to face her demons so to speak, she must confront what she left behind. To move forward with her future but she needs her husbands help. To prove to her parents that her son belongs with her she must reconcile with her husband and fight for him.
“I need us to live together – to be a family again” Catherine Boyd ~ He Belongs to me
This story was such a suspense that I found myself rooting for the underdog to come out on top. when courtroom battles reveal lies and secrets and generations of pain, will Thomas and Catherine find more tragedy and loss, or will old wounds finally heal?
This was a fantastic read I couldn’t put it down once you read the first chapter your hooked because in the end you want to know does love conquor all ?
