Knowing who you are and accepting who you are come at different prices.
Jase Kinrick grew up in your typical, all-American household. But after the death of his sister, his parents shut down, forcing him to deal with everything life throws his way alone. Terrified of the person he’s discovering himself to be, Jase has his way with every willing girl to try and rid himself of what he fears he is—gay.
Escaping California and moving to Seattle to attend the University of Washington, Jase frees himself to the reality that he likes men. Never staying with any guy long enough to get to know them, he doesn’t realize that he’s still hiding from who he is until he meets Mark. Scared of having real feelings for another guy stirs up the questions and fears he’s fought hard to bury.
To strip away the barriers to the heart of what is real, and to be okay with what lies underneath, will be Jase’s moment of truth. But he’ll need Mark to lead him there.
**This is a companion novel to the USA Today Bestseller, FADING.**
Five star classy read!!
This is the second book in the series where we have Jase’s story. He’s the awesome best friend of Candice. In this story you get to see what is going in his mind when he meets mark for the first time and his thoughts on what happened to Candice. I was so excited for this book because Jase became my BBF “best book friend”. So where on our roller coaster again this time were buckled in for Jase and Marks wild ride with Candice and Kimber in the back seat…..
So Jase goes out one night with Kimber to have some fun when Jase set eyes on a hunky guitarist who he can’t seem to keep his eyes off of. He knows of mark they have the same major so they’ve had a few classes together but never talked.
This is where the roller coaster starts ….. Jase and mark hit it off and things seem to be going well until Jase decides to mess everything up. Because apparently self destruction is what he does best. I was screaming at my kindle nooooo you idiot (like he could actually hear me). Jase needs to work on some inner issues he is having hmmm in these stories going home isn’t alway the right answer, but he does, he goes home to talk to his parents.
“The reality of being “out” with my parents my be my defining moment…..my freeing moment” ~ Jase
But as he suspected it doesn’t go well now where does he go form here? All he feels he has left in this world is Candice and their each others family. Jase can’t stop thinking about mark and he’s never actually felt this way about anyone because is was always just sex with Jase where as now he actually has feelings for Mark. Ready to raise your hands and scream for the drop ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
This is where if you’ve read the first book you know what happens to Candice and Jase has to be strong for them both but will he ever get the chance to make things right with mark. Will Jase ever be ok with being “out” and not let people judge him read to find out !!
Such a great read Jase has my heart he is just a great person and mark well you’ll see he amazed me though out this book well done EK Blair well done amazing!!
