~Laura’s 4.5 star Thoughts~

Distorted is Laura Dunaway’s debut novel.  She does a great job of telling the Story about Aly Chase and the love triangle between her,  Paul Pierce, her boss and Ethan Baker, her best friend.

Aly has spent the last three years working for Paul and Pierce Homes.  She has loved Paul from the beginning, with all her heart.  Knowing he was taken and that he would never feel the same way towards her.  But Paul  has been in a relationship with his high maintenance girlfriend Casey.  Little does Aly know, Paul has feelings for her too.  When a new project forces them to work even closer together, Aly and Paul cannot deny their feelings for one another.

Ethan Baker, Aly’s best friend.  Has been there through her ups and downs with men.  Loving her the entire time.  He has tried to carry on with his own relationships, but none of them work out.  He sees Aly as the only girl for him.  Aly does not see him as a love interest.

When Ethan starts to spend more time with her at work, Paul takes notice and steps up his game to win Aly’s heart.  When a passionate encounter between Paul and Aly ends badly, Ethan is there to help her put her broken hear back together.  It is then that Aly begins to see Ethan in a whole new light.  What ensues is a crazy, well written love triangle as Aly try’s to sort out her feelings for each man.

I really enjoyed this book.  I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a realistic love triangle read.  Laura Dunaway’s debut novel is a wonderful read and I look forward to what she produces next.  Overall a 4.5 star read.
