The 6th installment in the Alluring Indulgence series by Nicole Edwards focuses on Braydon and Jessie.

First let’s talk about the characters, shall we?

Okay so Braydon Walker, yet another sexy Walker boy who sets his sights on something and doesn’t stop until he gets it.  In Braydon, you will find Braydon slowly pulling away from the life that he has known with his twin brother Brendon every since the day they were born.  They have always shared everything, and women are no different, until Jessie.  Something about her has pulled Braydon so deep he can’t find his way out.  He isn’t supposed to have these feelings but no matter how hard he tries he can’t keep them at bay.  Usually the quiet one he Braydon will break through his shell and the alpha male shines bright.  Braydon is devastatingly handsome with a bunch of sexy thrown in.  Sweetness runs thick in his veins.  But he is scared, scared of the life he doesn’t know without Brendon involved the way he is used too.  His vulnerability when it comes to Jessie broke my heart.

Deep down I thought Jessie was a strong character, however, I think her past and the fear of her future made the bravery that I feel she has deep down stay hidden.  She has a dark past and the thought of closeness or commitment with anyone turned her off.  With Braydon it was different, she was different.  Her heart was telling her she wanted more, wanted everything with him but her head was screaming at her to back off.  There were times I wanted to choke the crap out of her. She was damaged because of her past and so scared to take a leap of faith.

I think Nicole did a great job with bringing these 2 characters together despite everything that had to overcome and fight their way through.  I liked how Nicole gave us the full scoop on Braydon and his past and insecurities and fears.  I enjoyed reading about Jessie; however, I wish we got a little more of her background and past.  I felt like I needed her to open up more and pour her heart out there to Braydon and leave everything on the table.   In Braydon you even get some of Brendon and Cheyenne which I am hoping will be coming soon so we can explore that relationship – well right now not so much.

Overall I enjoyed Braydon and I think Nicole is keeping on track with the Alluring Indulgence Series.  Same steamy sexy Nicole we all know and love! Can’t wait to get to know the next Walker brother on a more personal level!  Great job Nic!
