Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000026_00029]

Making daggers out of raindrops is only the tip of the iceberg for Brooke Bonham. As one of four women who can control the elements, her ability to manipulate water packs a deluge of potential. Eager to learn more, she’s frustrated at the precautions she must take to avoid the wrong kind of attention on Earth.

Kai’s duties as a Lash demon have kept him busy on Earth for nearly two hundred years. Fighting? He was born to do it. Females? They’re drawn to him. And Earth? The perfect place for him to avoid supernatural bounty hunters.

Though the two of them mix like oil and water, Kai senses that beneath Brooke’s frosty exterior hides a vortex of simmering passion. He’s determined to thaw his ice princess.

Forced to work together in the immortal realm, they track a rogue Lash demon at the helm of a widespread kidnapping operation. All too soon, Kai’s dark past catches up to them. Time runs out as a second enemy, bent on revenge, vows to stop at nothing short of Brooke’s enslavement and Kai’s death. As they and their foes stalk each other in a demonic game of cat-and-mouse, will her evolving skills and their fledgling bond be enough to save them?

Shasta5 Star Review

The one thing I love about starting a new book is that you never know what to expect once you start reading. Unless you have read a book by the same author before, you sometimes do not know what to expect. Well the plus for me is that I have read the first book in the Solsti Series, Wicked Winds by Sharon Kay and absolutely fell in love with it. And trust me she does not disappoint with Wicked Waves.  I think I fell in love with Wicked Waves more, and I can’t wait to see what the next book in the series has in store for everyone. If you love Paranormal Romance then this is a must read!

Brooke Bonham is one of the 4 Solsti sisters. With the power to manipulate water, she can be fierce, but she has yet to tap into her full powers potential. The only downside to her training is that she can’t fully put her powers to the test, because someone would notice a big wall of water or if the rivers parted. Brooke trains at Demon Central with her sister Nicole who happens to be married to Gunnar the Lash Demon who we have already met in book 1. But now we get a little more in depth with another Lash Demon and that is Kai. There is so much (sexual) tension between Brooke and Kai that she can’t figure out why he doesn’t like her.

“No. Won’t…let…Raniero kill Kai. He survived too much to die this way, by the hand of another Watcher. He was a fighter. He was hers.”

Kai has had his obstacles throughout his life, after being locked up and fighting for survival for so long, he now keeps an eye on all the demonic activity on earth. But now he is also one of the Watchers that are helping to protect the new found Solsti Sisters. His only issue is he is fighting his feelings for Brooke. But after being sent to Torth, Kai must face his feelings head on, but also protect Brooke from any and all dangers.

“Brooke would kill him if she knew he was here. Most days, she looked ready to hurl a dagger between his eyes. If his brethren found out, he would never hear the end of it. The other Lash demons stations in Chicago would fall on their asses laughing, and that would be after giving him shit for three days straight.” – Kai

Now keep in mind that this is the 2nd book of this series. So you have to pick up Wicked Winds to get the full story!  The book is fast pace, and gives you action a kick butt heroine and an awesome hero who lets her stand on her own two feet and doesn’t try to hold her back. But most importantly it is a great paranormal romance!
