Book Review: Til’ Death: Volume 2 by Bella Jewel

*This is a two part series, both parts are now available. This is the second part**

You know how it went for me.
You know what he did.
You know the fire he left inside my soul when he crushed me into a thousand tiny pieces.
Since Marcus, my life has been a blur of emptiness.
Since Marcus there has been nothing.
I’m alone, my Mom is dwindling and I feel nothing but emptiness. I work long, I work hard, but why? There’s no longer anything to fight for.
I know I have to face him. I know I have to go back. To fix my life, I have to break my ties to him.
Seeing Marcus again will destroy me, but it’s time to finish this.
I don’t expect the bitter, twisted emotions I’ll feel when I see him again, and when I lose everything once more, because of him, the only thing on my mind is revenge.
But how do you hurt someone you still love so deeply?
How can I still care for a monster? How can he still make me feel?
Our story is the most complicated of them all, it’s far from beautiful, it’s far from perfect, it’s just a twisted mess of emotion that neither of us knows how to fix.
But we will fix it. You’ll see.

So excited to get the conclusion of Marcus and Katia’s story. To say this couple is a little messed up would be an understatement. After the conclusion of Vol 1 I felt so bad for Katia and what happened to her and I was eagerly awaiting her revenge on Marcus, but bitch got CRAZY!

The beginning of Vol 2 shocked me up one side and down the other – what was presented in front of me I didn’t expect. I was happy and giggly about it in some ways and in some ways I felt like this one thing could either make Katia or break her completely.

Katia knew she had to face Marcus if she wanted to move on with her life. She had secrets too but after what he did to her she was not about to let him back into her life and ruin it some more. Now in some ways I didn’t agree with her keeping something from him but I completely understood why she did it. When she was thrown back into his part of the world this is when things really started to hop.

Marcus knew that was he did to Katia was beyond forgivable. He figured it out that the one thing he needed and wanted he lost and it was too late. He suffered in his own way but his suffering just began. After seeing Katia for the first time in along time he needed to explain, needed her to know what really happened and what he truly regrets. He never expected her to turn into the monster that he was.

Katia and Marcus both know that the people they are they can’t make it work. He broke her and she sought out revenge to the point of insanity. After possibly making the biggest mistake of her life she seeks out the help of her friends and family to finally pick up and move on. When tragedy strikes Katia finds herself needing to be completely honest with Marcus and the story takes a turn from there in the complete opposite direction.

There is heartache, sorrow, love, loss and hot steamy sex. I despised Marcus at the end of Volume 1 but my heart was slowly falling in love with him. He knew what he did to her was something that could never be forgotten. He was truly a monster and he decided that as much as he loved her he needed to let her go. He couldn’t love her as the Marcus he is today. He proved himself to me that he truly is a good man and when he found someone to fight for he would risk everything to be the person they needed.

The craziness that this couple is is beyond measure. Katia’s character played crazy so good I was really thinking she fell out the crazy tree and hit every branch on the way down. Bella did an amazing job of showcasing a woman scorned and how crazy we can truly be.

I will say that I loved the ending however I felt like the last few characters were a bit rushed, I honestly thought as I got closer to the end there was going to be a volume 3. I wanted a bit more of the Katia and Marcus. I think it ended exactly the way it should have ended I just wanted it to last longer I guess. I have read a few Bella Jewel novels/serials and I have to say she never disappoints. She can take any character and make us love them and hate them. She can take any sane reader and make us crazy with her storylines and oh my god what just happened moments. I was looking for something sexy and a bit crazy and Bella delivered.
