Book Review: The Violet Window? (The Shattered Hearts #1) by K.E. Osborn

What would you do if the life you lived, the life you loved, was ripped from you tragically? How could life possibly go on? The only way to function and to continue living is to become someone else. Someone completely different to who you were.
When life breaks you the only thing you can do is fight back. But at what cost? If you become someone else, the polar opposite to everything you stand for, does becoming The Violet Widow make anything better? Or will it make everything a hundred times worse?
Finding love is something The Violet Widow never thought possible, but when an unknown man shows up on the five-year anniversary of her life changing, how can she resist the handsome stranger?
Her walls are up. She is guarded.
So how can one possibly love again after losing so much?
The answer is simple – choose to live!
What path will she take? The path to fade into the darkness, or the path to live?

Stephannie's 5 Star RevoiewHow would you survive if you lost everything you held dear in your heart? If in one moment you were happy and thinking of the future and the next your life comes to a screeching halt with a tragedy that leaves you broken. Would you stay broken or fight back?

The only way Violet could survive was to become someone else. She became someone else, the polar opposite of everything she stood for prior to being broken beyond repair. She becomes “The Violet Widow” in hopes of “surviving” the only way she can.   She does things she never thought she could do and that she would NEVER get too close to anyone again in fear of losing them. On the five year anniversary, she meets a man that makes her question everything. does it make anything better? Or  does it make “surviving” hundred times worse?
She finds him hard to resist but how can she give love again when the fear is there of opening up to the chance falling in love again. How could she survive if she let love in and lost everything all over again?  Will she take the steps to move forward from her past life that left her heartbroken and give this new guy a chance?
This is K. E. Osborn ‘s best work to date. This is a story of tragedy and surviving it. There is no right way to to handle loss. Violet pain is real and I felt her pain. It broke my heart and I couldn’t imagine being in her shoes.  The Violet Widow wasn’t truly living; she meets “Rock” and starts to question if being The Violet Widow is something she should continue doing?.   She must decide what she will do. Will she remain The Violet Widow or choose to live by giving the chance at love and happiness another shot?
I felt like I was there, an outsider looking in seeing how she deals with everything.  I really love how the characters evolve and change through the twists and turns throughout their story.  Its an amazing ride filled with tears, laughter and love. This is a book worth taking a look at because I know you’ll feel for Violet and Root for Rock and Violet to have an HEA. After everything that happens in the end they deserve to be happy.
