Shasta’s 3.5 to 4 Not Right To Leave Me Hanging Like That And I Want More Now Not Later Star Review!!!!
I was asked to read and review Love, Succumb by Eve Davids. First, let me just say that I am very conflicted on my rating. I want to give this book between 3.5 and 4 stars and this is my dilemma. It took me a little bit of time to get into the book Love, Succumb by Eve Davids, I was confused as to what was going on when this book started. Then once the book caught my attention I had to find out what would happen.
Eve is a very strong willed woman. She has had so much heartache in her life that I believe she is always going to wonder what is going to happen next. To me, Eve just wants to find love and live something of a normal life. She does not want to have to worry about all the violence and heartache anymore since that is all she has ever know by growing up in the ghettos of Brazil. But Eve holds too many secrets in her life to really think she can be safe, happy, loved and not live in a life with violence around all the time. But in walks Rene’ Ackerley and her life is going to shift on its axis again. Eve thinks that she is supposed to be with one person and this man will make her think about things differently.
Rene’ Ackerley is all business all the time. Things go the way he wants or he will make it happen. He exudes power and raw sex appeal, but Rene’ never expected Eve to be the interviewer that would change his life forever. But the one thing he doesn’t count on is she is really not a journalist and she was there on orders from someone else to hurt his reputation. But Rene’ can’t get this woman out of his head, he does everything in his power to find her and make her his.
So now I am trying to wait patiently for the next book to come out, but I would tell anyone to give it a chance, because you never know when you will find your next favorite book, even if it does leave you with a cliffhanger from hell that makes you want to throw something because you can’t find out what happens next at that exact moment.
