Synopsis

After almost four years, Michael Matthews has come face to face with the love of his life. To say it didn’t go quite as he envisioned is an understatement. Never in a million years would he have imagined that his best friend, Daniel, is the new man in Kate’s life.
Once their explosive evening concludes and everyone goes their separate ways, Mike takes the time to calm down and plan his next move. If there’s one thing that calms him it’s Kate, even if it’s just memories of her. Mike has four hours before he sees her again and gets to plead his case. Instead of sleeping, he spends his evening remembering every detail of their relationship from the beginning.

Experience Mike and Kate’s love story from the start, all from Mike’s point of view. Find out why he left Kate in pieces and learn just how far he’ll go to make her fall in love with him all over again.

4-Stars

Michael Matthews or Mike finally comes face to face with his first love, Katherine. After 4 years Kate has moved on with Daniel, Mike’s best friend without him realizing his Katherine is Daniel’s Kate.
Now Mike is waiting until the morning to see her again and plea his case but instead of sleeping he takes a stroll down memory lane.
This book is the story of Michael and Katherine from the beginning and from Michael’s Pov. This story tells why he left Katherine and what he’ll do to make her fall in love with him again.
This book was good and there was many parts that I thought was necessary to completely tell this love triangle of a story. But I was hoping for more about what was going to happen next and not a stroll down memory lane between Mike and Kate. I think I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first book because I am team Daniel and I think Mike doesn’t deserve a second chance with Kate because he threw her away and waited 4 long years before having the courage to try and get her back. But I think Mike was young and didn’t handle his father’s death and blamed Kate because his mom did. But I personally blame him for waiting so long to connect with her again. I seriously love this series and can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next because I know its going to be a emotional roller coaster of a book. I hope Kate catching a break and can find happiness.

author-interview

Q:

What one event made you decide to become an author?

A:

When I was a kid my mom and I had communication issues. We would go long periods of time without talking and our only form of communication was notes and letters. I knew way back then that I wanted to be a writer.

Q:

If you had to name only 2 authors that you admire and have inspired you who would pick?

A:

Oh that’s so hard. I would say Jessica Sorensen because when I was first starting out she was so open and willing to help answer my questions and help me navigate the indie world. I love her books but her willingness to help a new author was very inspiring. The other would be Lois Lowry because when I was eight years old I read Autumn Street and it stuck with me. To this day it is still one of my all time favorite books. If you can write a story that will resonate with your reader thirty years later, I think you definitely accomplished what you set out to do.

Q:

If you could travel to any country and bring 1 book with you where would you go and what book would you bring?

A:

I would go to Greece and I would take Thoughtless Series by S.C. Stephens. Sorry it has to be a box set I need ALL of Kellan Kyle with me

Q:

Do you prefer reading ebooks of good ole paperbacks?

A:

I prefer paperbacks but I read more ebooks out of convenience. Usually when I get time to read it’s in bed when the rest of the house is asleep and an ebook is easy to read because it lights up. I still buy paperbacks of my faves even when they are on my kindle.

Q:

What states and/or countries have you lived in?

A:

Only one California.

Q:

Does size really matter? Can I plead the 5th? LOL I would say that yes size matters but what matters more than size is that he knows what he’s doing. You can have all the size in the world but if he doesn’t know what he’s doing with it what good is it going to do you?
