Good girls finish last? Screw that.
Being a small town girl isn’t so bad. Unless Mom’s the town joke and I’ve spent my entire life shying away from her flamboyance. College in Las Vegas should be so much cooler. But it’s not. Bad things happen. Real bad.
So when my brother Reid offers me an all-expenses paid vacation to Australia for a month, I am so there. Discounting the deadly snakes on the outback cattle station, I should be safe.
Until I meet Jack.
Jack defines bad boy and then some. He’s big, buffed, bronzed, and hotter than any guy I’ve ever met. His sexy Aussie accent makes me melt. And the guy can cook.
But he’s my brother’s new bestie and he lives on the other side of the world. There’s no future for us.
3 Star Review
While not exactly YA book, it read like one other then a few scenes here and there. It was a sweet romance? Can you call it a romance if the main characters have one kiss 2 pages from the end of the book? From what I understand this book was written as a prequel to another book, without having read that book it’s a little hard to understand what the motivation behind this book is. For the most part it’s a story about a young girl throwing herself at a guy whose really having none of it, maybe not for the typical reasons, but nonetheless that’s the way it plays out. The author did do a good job with the character development for such a short story, and the plot flowed nicely, however there wasn’t really much to the story itself. With the attached chapter of the next book it was enough to keep you from being totally disappointed, and make you interested in the next part of the story. The book was well written and I’d be interested in seeing where the next book takes the story, so I’m giving this book 3 stars.
