Book Review: Seduce Me (Ravage MC #2) by Ryan Michele

Synopsis

Casey Alexander grew up part of the Ravage Motorcycle family since the day she was abandoned by her mother and thrown into her father’s lap. Always seeing herself as an outsider, she spent her whole life trying to fit in, but never really succeeding. When she loses her beloved father, the utter aloneness engulfs her, leaving her searching for solace in the one man she’s always craved. Confessing her love for him only results in devastation when he pushes her away. Convinced she needs a fresh start, she leaves everything behind in order to mend her broken heart and begin building a future without him.

Gage Thomas (G.T.) Gavelson fell in love with his Angel when he was just a pint sized kid. Both beautiful and smart, he always felt she deserved so much better than him. Growing up beside her in the club only continued to test his will power, until one night, he gave into temptation. Realizing he couldn’t allow himself to hold her back from the life she deserved, he pushed her away, allowing her to believe she would never be enough for him. Letting her go had been the hardest thing he’d ever done. Even though he’d thought it’d been the right thing to do, not a day goes by that misery doesn’t consume him for it.

When a tragic shootout occurs, everything changes as once again their lives are intermingled. When you find your way back to the one person you are meant to be with, forgiveness should be easy. But sometimes, we hurt each other too much to ever be able to forgive.

Is their love strong enough to heal their pain?

Ryan did it again.  She blew me away with Ravage Me and Seduce Me was incredible too.  One of the better MC series books I have read to date.  I loved Casey in Ravage Me and I was glad we got to know her more in Seduce Me.

So in the beginning I was really rooting for Casey to break away from the MC, where she never really felt like part of the family, and make a life for herself and her special gift.  She showed her strength and determination to make it on her own and provide with no help from others.   She is dedicated to getting her degree and making her dad proud and making something of herself outside the club.

When we are first introduced to Jace I was instantly rooting for him and Casey.  He was the cute and loveable boy next door that had manners and helped Casey out when needed.  Clearly he was interested in her and I wanted her to forget the love of her life that crushed her soul, G.T., back home.  For me G.T. was a pig and I wanted Casey to find her happily ever after with Jace and I really thought that was going to happen.

HOLY SHIT BOOM – Ryan throws in a MAJOR curveball with my vision of the outcome of Seduce Me and I have never been more wrong about a story before Seduce Me – I secretly loved that she did that to me.

After an incident back home Casey is called back to the MC on lock down where she will come face to face with G.T. after leaving months ago and the secret she has been holding will have to be told and she isn’t quit she the backlash that will take place once G.T. knows the truth.   But G.T. has his own secrets that he needs to tell Casey.  This is when the story really gets going.  There is so much information coming and going that I literally couldn’t pull the book away from my face.

One thing right after another the booms just kept coming.  Truths were finally brought out into the open and suddenly G.T. wasn’t such a pig anymore, in fact, he become a very sexy biker dude that I wanted to take a ride on.  Jace who I was rooting for in the very beginning became the pig that I wanted to gut.  And Casey well I loved her from the very beginning and that didn’t stop with time.  There were moments that she had me in tears because the emotion that poured out of her.

There were so many twists and turns in Seduce Me that it was very easy for me to finish it, because I never knew what Ryan had in store next.  Seduce Me went in a direction I never saw coming and I love when books do that.  For whatever reason I always try and decide how a book will end and what will happen and this one I was completely wrong like nothing I thought would happened, happened and I loved it.  Ryan Michele knocked me on my ass with Ravage Me and she got me down again with Seduce Me.  I know what couple I want to hear from next and I can’t wait to find out which couple she gives us.  Knowing that the story didn’t go anything like I thought I have a feeling the next couple won’t be what I think, which in true Ryan Michele fashion will be the right decision.  Love her!

5 Star Review
Holy Sweet Baby Jesus this book was fantastic. I loved the first book, Ravage Me, so I had high expectations for Seduce Me. Ryan really out did herself. I actually miss the characters. Their witty naughty banter, and the way they take care of each other. These are people that would be great to hang out with and definitely ones you’d want in your corner.Casey has decided that she needs to leave the only place she has ever lived, the place she has always called home. She needs a fresh start for herself, and that includes leaving Sumner, the MC, and the man she has loved her whole life, GT.

“I do not want to leave. This is my home, the only life I have ever known. The only connection to my father Bam, but it’s what must be done”

Even though she never felt a part of the MC family, its crushing Casey to go. Picking up, leaving her best friend Harlow, her dream job of working on cars, the people that have been there and supported her through her father Bam’s death. The hardest part for her though is leaving the man she loves.

She settles into her new life as a student, finds a job, and meets some new friends Bella & Jace. Things are looking up, and she realizes she can be somewhat happy, is definitely stronger and more capable than she thought. Soon enough tragedy strikes not only once but multiple times and she finds herself needing to go back home, no matter how worried she is to see the people she left behind so suddenly.

“At this moment, I am lost and I’ll stay for as long as he’ll let me … Maybe even forever”

GT is the typical alpha male: tough, demanding, and sexy. He grew up in the MC and was groomed at a young age to move up through the ranks very quickly. Giving up Casey was probably the one thing that could bring him to his knees. Thinking he isn’t good enough for her and letting her go was the hardest thing he ever had to do.

“I watched at that moment as the entire spark left her beautiful eyes and I kick myself every damn day for doing it. I keep telling myself it was for the best, that she deserves better”

When she comes back, everything is not as it seems. There is a lot of anger and hurt between the 2 of them. While trying to deal with the dangerous life that the MC holds, each one has to face their own demons and figure out if being together is even an option. I’m not sure that they could keep their distance for long though, even if they tried.

“Casey is a magnet that I cant stay away from, she calls to me … and I can’t say no. I don’t want to say no”

GT can be cold, calculating and a total hard ass when he has to be, but you can see he has a sweet charismatic side when it comes to his “Angel”. Like he would go to the ends of the earth if he knew it would make her happy. Casey is a total sucker for the man she has loved since she was a little girl. It’s very endearing and I think GT could probably swoon the pants off any girl with just a wink and a smile. I was all head over heels and drooling over Cruz but GT has totally won my heart.

I love that Harlow is still that awesome biker chick  that doesn’t take crap from anyone and that motherhood hasn’t tamed her … that much! You still get a good dose of all the other hotties too: Cruz, Buzz, Breaker, Rhys, Tug, and Dagger.

Seduce Me takes you on a wild ride (Pun Intended)! It’s exciting, full of action and drama, it’s funny, excruciatingly ugly cry devastating, and completely leaves you with your heart full of love. I want a Ravage MC member … or two for myself (because I’m selfish like that). Cannot wait for the next installment.

One of my favorite quotes from the whole book:
“There is no better place on earth, then where I am at this moment”

Another total great 5 star read in the Ravage MC Series by Ryan Michele
