I have to say for Kaylee Ryan’s first book, she did relatively well with it.  I really enjoyed the story line for the most part.  But felt it was a bit rushed and lacking in other areas.  Anywhere With You is the Story of Allison “Ash” Hagan.  She has sppent the past nine years living with her Gran.  Her parents died in a car accident when she was just 10 years old.  Gran and the Emerson’s, who live next door are her only family.  Aiden “Ace” Emerson is her best friend and protector.  He has been there for her since the day she moved in with Gran.  With a lot of pushing from Gran and help from the Emerson’s, Allison is headed to college.  She is very hesitant to leave because Gran’s health is not the best, but Gran insists on it.  That they both will be ok.

“You need to go, spread your wings, and live you life.  I want that for you more than anything.”~ Gran

“I need you to make your way in this world.”  “You have a lifetime of new experiences waiting for you.”~ Gran

And so begins Allisons new life away at UNC.  Ace is already going to school there, so she will have someone to help her out and watch out for her.  Having already met and spent some time with her roommate Hailey, Allison packs and heads to school.  What she never expected is Liam.  He is Hailey’s older brother and star quarter back for the UNC Tar Heels.  From the moment they meet Allison is in lust with him.

Liam MacCoy, keeps himself busy with football.  He eats, sleeps and breathes it.  He is also studying sports medicine, something for him to fall back on if he doesn’t make it through the NFL draft at graduation.  He is known around campus as a player, yet he spends very little time with the ladies, unless his needs need met.  Until he meets Allison.  And all he can do is think about her.  She consumes him.

Allison never has dated, has yet to lose her “v-card” and really has never had any sort of relationship with any guy.  Other than Aiden.  So when she meets Liam, she is so taken with him.  He spurs feelings that she has never had before.  But with her, it is all or nothing.  This is where I got frustrated with this book.  How can a 18-19 year old girl be ready for a serious relationship, when she has never been in one before.

“I want more Liam.  Not that I expect a proposal next week but you’ve made it clear that you won’t make a commitment, so what are we doing?”  I shake my head and pull her back to my chest. “I don’t know baby.  All that I can tell you is that kiss was incomparable to anything I have ever felt.  You wreck me, you know that?”~ Liam

“This connection that makes my heart race is uncharted waters for me.  I wish that I could hold onto it and never let go.” She sighs, “But I need all of you, Liam, I don’t want to share you, I can’t just be a fling.  My heart can’t take it.”~ Allison

They have known each other about a week at this point.  And they are deciding their future together already.  Don’t get me wrong, I do believe in love at first sight…but this just rubbed me a tad wrong.  Although it does take a few more months for them to actually make a commitment to one another, this just felt so odd and out of place for me.  Once they decide that they are going to be together Liam moves her right in with him…ahhh….seems a little to fast yet again.

“You made room for my stuff in your dresser?” she asks me like it is the craziest thing she has ever heard.

I loved Liam and his sister Hailey.  Liam is extremely protective of her, as she herself has dealt with the loss of someone close.  Liam is sexy, sensitive, strong, thoughtful, smart and extremely protective.  To much so at one point.  I thought Allison getting hurt was blown way out of proportion.  Hailey is so strong and supportive.  She helps bring Allison out of her shell.  Shows her what it is like to be on her own, out in the world.  Enjoying life. At the same time Allison helps Hailey overcome her own issues.

“I know he’s (Aiden) is worried that I’ll hurt her, but what he doesn’t realize is that I could never, would never. I will protect her with everything in me.”~Liam

Aiden is the brother that Allison never had.  He steps in and helps Gran and his parents raise her.  He becomes her best friend, advocate, protector, sounding board and more.  He puts her best interests first and will protect her at all costs.  He takes his role very seriously.

Over all, I did enjoy Anything With You.  I did find areas of it that happened to quickly, were over done and some bits were repetitive. Considering it is Kaylee Ryan’s first book, I think she did a great job of getting the story out there.  I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fairly quick sweet read that results in a hea!
